Draft Picks by School

In this year's draft, 795 players were chosen from four-year universities. More than 650 came from Division One schools, along with approximately 76 from D-2, 21 from D-3, and 41 from the NAIA.
Much of the talent was concentrated at a few schools, but as usual, MLB teams find future professionals just about everywhere. At least one player was selected from each of 309 programs, 153 of which were the only athlete picked from their team.
(Bonus points to American University's Stephen Lumpkins, drafted by the Pirates. He's a basketball player, and American doesn't even have a baseball team. But apparently, he's got a live left arm.)
