Best. Month. Ever.
May 03, 2010
If you like sports, you loved April. Because it means you were able to enjoy the following:
- The Masters, where everyone pretends we aren't all secretly rooting against Tiger Woods.
- March Madness, where you can watch your tournament brackets destroyed by schools you never before knew even existed.
- The NFL Draft, what with Mel Kiper's hair and all.
- The NBA Playoffs, where folks can watch Basketball's Bryce Harper try to lead his team to a title.
- The NHL Playoffs, where you can try to find out if a game is even televised.
- The beginning of the MLB season, when all again seems right with the world. (Unless you're an Astros fan.)
If your name appears on one of the following lists, you also loved April. Because it means you were one of the Top 20 batters or pitchers for all of Division 1 during the month:

That's a second consecutive top-three month for John Stilson. A K/9 of 13.8 is actually below his season-to-date performance. At this rate, the draft talk at this time next year will be, "How high can you take a college reliever?" The answer: "Pretty damn high."
