New Leaderboards and Sortable Stats

April 05, 2010

Last night, we were wandering the grounds of the College Splits Headquarters and found ourselves disgusted by the number of ant-infested candy-filled Easter eggs still left unfound from our Easter Egg Hunt held earlier in the day.

Because we'd never want our readers to suffer a similar fate, here's a quick summary highlighting a couple new Easter eggs of our own:

Daily Leaderboard

Randomly generated and available right on the data site home page. If you can't find this one, you have serious problems, and we can't help you.

Sortable Stats

Click on a blue header on any leaderboard, and watch the magic happen. Perfect for when you can't decide what's more important in a prospect: OPS or RBIs.

Context-Adjusted Leaderboards

College stats are very context-dependent, and our data reflects that. For every conference and stat, you can find park-adjusted leaders, schedule-adjusted leaders, and park- and schedule-adjusted leaders. You can even find leaders for raw stats.

For just one example of how much difference a context makes, check out the WAC slugging percentage leaders with raw and park-adjusted stats.

Enjoy!
